They were not voting against Obama as the poor addled neo-idiots want to believe.

Forking Moran:

Again, AP Nov 3

Interviews with voters leaving polling stations in both states were filled with reasons for Democrats to be concerned and for Republicans to be optimistic, particularly about independents — the crown jewel of elections because they often determine outcomes.

Have a good posting day.

This was the result of the exit poll asking whether their Gov vote was a message for Obama.

If you're looking for the fucking moran, check the mirror.

Forking Moran,

Man, don't take this so hard, it's not good for your stress level and could have a negative impact on your ability to get a good night's sleep tonight.

Who would have thunk this a couple of months back........our Nobel Peace Prize winning President couldn't pull in the Olympics (Europe sent him packing) and now he stumps for two governors and they get spanked royally and once again Obama looks like a fool. No one said the job would be easy eh?

The positive side: He does give a good speech and he does have two lovely daughters.

Have a good posting day.

That's true.

Furthermore, the way the race turned out should be a lesson on the strenght of the Obama brand and the risk of the Palin one.

Creigh Deeds ran an awful campaign. He expected one negative story about McDonnell's college thesis to give him cover in Northern Virginia, and he ran negative ads accordingly.

At the same time, he distanced himself from the White House, failing completely to capitalize on the independent vote that came out for Obama in 2008 (and for Kane in 2005).

Ironically, McDonnell sought to distance himself from the GOP's right wing. Ironic because he got his law degree from Pat Robertson's bible school, just like Monica Goodling!

He ignored overtures from Sarah Palin to work his campaign, and denied any knowledge of robo calls that she taped for him,

Rather than embrace the "tea baggers", he positioned himself as a centerist, running against the wingnuttery that has come to define his party.

When you look at the role that the wingnuts played in delivering the New York 23rd to the Democrats, this doesn't look like it was a bad strategy at all.
