We topple governments (Iran, Guatamala, Haiti etc. etc.), install and support thugs until they stray from the reservation (Diem, Noriega, Saddam Hussain, etc. etc.), sponsor coups (Chile, Venezuela, etc. etc.), and of course support entities that turn against us when the wind changes (Mujahideen/Talaban, most recent), and now it is "news" that we are supporting a corrupt drug-runner as part of our overall strategy.

Secretary of State Clinton said recently that "we need to do a better job of telling people of the world what we are about (or something like that)." The people of the world obviously know better what we are about than the American public.

We've lost the wars in both Iraq and Afghanistan.

Long live the Empire!

It may be strategically prudent to maintain our current position as the world's biggest consumer of heroin,cocaine,marijuana and credit default swaps!

I thought the credit default swaps were the one commodity that we were exporting.
