Mickey doesn't like Obama . . .

. . . because every time he sees him he's making some pompous, lecturing speech from the 'prompter. Well, watch more TV, Mickey. He's being interviewed and asked for off-the-cuff answers on Sunday AM talk shows, on "60 Minutes," at press conferences, at Town Hall-type meetings, etc., maybe not quite as often as he gives canned speeches, but often enough. More often than W, certainly, who had the good sense to keep as far away from spontaneity as possible. And in these events he comes off as likeable enough, it seems to me.

So watch for these spontaneous events, and then let us know . . . Hey, wait a minute! Who the hell cares whether you like Obama or not?

When given a choice between George Bush and Barrack Obama, the two journalists discussing the topic reluctantly chose Obama as the lesser of two evils. I think the person who should care about this is the President ( and his supporters). This is hardly the kind of support needed for ambitious plans to be enacted, especially with the kind of whole hearted opposition we have seen from the other side.
