Muffins, anyone?
by o_hellenbach

Cute story in USA Today, complete with cute pictures:

The "Hot Mormon Muffins: A Taste of Motherhood" calendar features 12 mothers who claim membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in vintage pinup picture poses. Each month also has a muffin recipe.

The entrepreneur who came up with this was excommunicated from the LDS and separately denied his diploma from BYU. I know the Mormon elders aren't known for their sense of humor, but to withhold his diploma seems petty and vindictive. They should at least have offered him a tuition refund. Heck, when I was a kid and you get kicked out of the movie theater for throwing popcorn most of the time they at least gave you back the price of your ticket.

...but he should have realized that cults don't have a sense of humor about themselves. It's practically part of the definition of the word.

'Petty and vindictive' seems to sum up the LDS quite nicely.
