Wieden + Kennedy forgot that your kids don't read
by bobdowCA

To me, (42) this looks like Michael Bay trying to do Shakespeare. Blow some more stuff up Hamlet!

Most of the people love these ads love them for the poetry, Whitman was an original thinker and a beautiful writer.

95% of the people who recognize the poetry and are writing about this campaign are over 30, (not exactly the radical next generation of Levi's customers they wish they were reaching).

Levis is out of touch and over reaches with glossy slick ads that don't speak to their brand essence or their core consumers at all. The kids I know that have seen it call it the zombie movie commercial... because with the sound off it looks like a well shot low budget horror movie.

just my opinion , but Levis should go back to a more authentic strategy and leave it to their customers to make their brand cool.
