I'm from Seattle, and so it's required of me to hate A-Rod (more commonly referred to in these parts as "Pay-Rod"). However, even I can see the guy has turned a corner this year, and though he'll always be an egotistical knucklehead (and forever tainted by steroids) he deserves some credit for putting his head down and playing his ass off. But you New York people can't let it go. You may think that "Yankees fans have high standards and long memories," but to this reader, that looks more like a fancy way of saying "Yankees fans are a bunch of sourpuss a-holes."
