FDR and the press
by Kalimac

Looking through mid-1930s newspaper files for an obituary led me to the discovery that William Randolph Hearst wrote front page editorials - front page! - for his newspapers every day, and that these typically consisted of denunciations of FDR as far worse than Hitler.

I have to say, that matches anything that even Fox News is coming up with today.

While Roosevelt wasn't a tyranical agent of hate like Hitler, they favored a very similar political system. Indeed, FDR got a lot of the ideas for the New Deal from Germany's National Socialist Party.

Hitler may be the most evil man to ever walk the face of the Earth and the genocide he is responsible for is such a dark chapter in human history, it often overshadows the evil nature of his other domestic policies. These "other domestic policies," fascism at its finest, very closely resembly the domestic policies of the Roosevelt administration. In fact, Roosevelt took these policies a step further.

In that sense, Roosevelt was worse than Hitler.
