We have 3 kids ages 6, 5, and 1. The oldest was quite addicted to Baby Einstein - I mean it was a problem. It went on and on. Yea, we probably shouldn't have let him watch too much of it when he was a baby but the wife was pregnant with number 2 and I was starting a business. I can't remember when he stopped being obsessed by Baby Einstein but it was long after we got rid of the stupid DVDs. The second child didn't show much interest, and we really haven't exposed the third to the stuff.

These videos were like crack cocaine: one moment you would have a screaming baby/toddler and turn on the Baby Einstein and there would be a glazed look in his eye as quietly watched the screen. There is also option on the DVD for an endless repeat.

So when I heard there was a refund because it didn't make him a genius, I had to laugh. Like smoking crack makes you a genius.
