after reading weisburg's slate piece about how the entire nation should strangle the Fox network, i'm confident that the influence peddling ascribed to the WaPo really, in fact, was done by Fox - during the Bush era.

Slate - please confirm your error. One way or another. Either Fox itself is guilty of this $250,000 a turn influence peddling, or Fox is NOT, in fact, the most heinous news organization in the counrty.

I think you're on to something. As with all news stories of the past 9 years or so: it must be George W. Bush's fault. Democrats have been using that line for so long, it's hard to imagine anyone else could be at fault. Certainly not the Washington Post. No way. They are far to pure at heart and pristine in their integrity. I am going to have to quit writing now, tears of sadness for the Post are beginning to blind my vision.
