why are Howard Stern's lapdances 'cool" then?
by baltimore aureole

Slate says its an "ugly stereotype" for a yahoo tech guy to get a lapdance at some sort of party.

But the universe laughs uprorariously - and nods knowingly - when Howard Stern relates his escapades at 'scorers', or has a radio game show like "are you smarter than a stripper"

Perhaps it slate that has the stereotypes, or at least the hypocrisy, eh?

Don't look for consistency from the XX-Factor's writers. They change their "deeply held beliefs and principles" whenever it's convenient. They excoriate men who cheat and cheer on women who do the same, they've said that motherhood is a qualification for the US Presidency the later attacked Palin when she became unpopular, and they've called virtually every act under the sun sexist. Ironically enough, the XX-Factor writers play into a very bad female stereotype... that of the flighty, shallow, and hypocritical. I'm actually kind of offended that Slate has decided on these women as representative of an entire gender. I know from experience that there are better women writers out there than are employed here.
