You can actually carry it in your head
by zafari
I used to have a lot of trouble with forgotten chores and tasks and items. I have found a technique that works for me but then again sometimes I ‘forget’ to apply it and then I have only myself to blame.
Here is the method:
If you had to buy milk, shaving razors, aspirin, toilet tissue, meet your child’s teacher and pay the electricity bill you could keep the entire information in your head by forming an image that carries all the information. You could picture the teacher blowing her nose in toilet tissue, shaving her legs with a razor while popping a bottle of aspirin tablets and drinking milk doing all this in a dark room because her electricity had been cut off due to non payment. You can actually build fairly complex todo lists using this type of visualization and the more ridiculous the imagery the tighter your recall will be of the individual items. You would be surprised you can recall most of your todo lists even months later. However if all this appears to be a little overwhelming you can also use the Todo list at http://www.taskmaniac.com. I like the Twitter part where you can Tweet your selected todo list items.
