I had a CB350 when I was sixteen. Maybe it was because of my age, but it certainly didn't seem sluggish. I do remember taking it out on the freeway and hitting 85 mph a few times. As for constant adjustment and tuning, no more than manual carbs of the day in other bikes or cars.

The CB350 was a great bike to get back and forth to work and having fun on the weekend. Living in a small city in PA, it was quick and easy to get onto country roads, running through the hills. Back then. $1.00 filled your tank and you could drive for miles.
