dictionaries are pointless anyway
by senbassador2

The definition of every word ever spoken is whatever "we" say it is right now. "We" being whoever is involved in the conversation at the time.

That means if a drug dealer is using slang with his customer to avoid prosecution, the meaning of the slang is whatever they're buying and selling, not what some dictionary says. If a lay person is referring to a theory, they're really referring to "thesis"; because the scientific definition of "theory" is very specific. Even something mundane as money doesn't have a "true" meaning. Are you refering to the actual paper, an electronic transaction, or nuggets of Gold before we went off the gold standard. Are we walking US currency, currency in general, or the actual value of goods and services. So whats the definition of crazy (socially defined, changes over time).

The best dictionaries are as neutral as possible and defer to the rightful athorities in their area of experiese. The definition of crazy is whatever the APA (as flawed as they are) say it is, whom have their own dictionary of illnesses. The Fed has their definition of money. The definition of marriage is whatever the government says it is. And so on, and so on. They're nothing more than a glorified archive, and quite limited.
