health care /socialism
by hopingforsanity
Being against socialism or a government take over has nothing to do with race. It is about money, I have the right to enjoy the fruits of my labor. America was founded to be free, taxation without representation and freedom of religion, etc.-remember. The founders escaped socialism or monarchy to live as individuals having the right to their own destiny. I do not want the government to oversee my healthcare, I will take care of that. I expect my government to keep the tenets of the constitution, I expect my government to protect its citizens from enemies forgein and domestic. I expect my government to institute laws to protect us from unscrupulous business practices i. e. bank fraud.I expect my govenment to respect the will of the people. If you need to be taken care of then there are many countries you can immigrate to, for you to live happily. This is America you are free to leave if this system of government does not suit you.

I fail to see how having the government protect citizens from bank fraud any different than protecting the citizens from unscrupulous business practices associated with insurance companies or medical providers.

You don't want to government to oversee your healthcare but you are OK with it overseeing your banking?

FDIC is a socialist program, as is Social Security, Medicare and unemployement 'insurance'. So why didn't you leave America once once you became an adult since these programs have been in place before you were born?
