NBC was looking for a show to keep up their quality drama reputation and they had one with Kings. A series that that could appeal to fans of soap opera, political drama, family drama, religion, sex, violence... it had it all. A stellar cast, led by the should-be Emmy winner Ian McShane, great writing, excellent production.

If NBC treated the show better instead of giving up on it before it even premiered, NBC could've had the first step in digging itself out of the dirt.
