I was only able to bring myself to watch about half of the episodes. I've always considered the stories in the Bible to be really boring and difficult to relate to, but I gave this show a try anyway. The acting was pretty good (Ian McShane in particular) as was the cinematography, but I couldn't have cared less about the story and I thought the characters were boring, almost annoyingly so. I was more interested in why the people of Gilboa were willing to put up with an absolute monarchy rather than the drama within the royal court itself.

I've been burned with some of my favorite series being cancelled recently (Jericho, The Riches, Life). Lucky for me, Kings was not one of them.
