Bring back Today's Papers!

I have tried Slatest for a week or two now and it is dry, humorless, and mechanical.
I am mourning my morning chuckle as I was led in a circuitous route through the morning's news.
TP has been just the ticket for my 10 minutes of hot tea and early morning world orientation - for many years now.
Slatest is NOT doing it for me.
Please bring back TP!

I agree. I find that I visit Slate less often now that I can no longer get my daily news from it.

Slate isn't as much fun without Today's Paper's...and the accompanying fray !

Amen -- they've almost killed the reason I come to Slate in the first place.

I suspect that's the whole point in Slatish...to do away with the "free" fray!

Today's Papers was the only thing I enjoyed reading every morning. Worse Slate decision every. Hopefully this is just a New Coke/Windows ME type decision and they'll come around.

What brain thought that replacing the most popular article on Slate with a LOUSY aggregator would be a good move?

I'm giving up in 2 weeks.

I'll wait slightly longer, but I agree it's the worst decision ever on their part.

haven't even read a Slatest since they changed, I wouldn't wait..they want to do away with fray anyway.

I agree with this. Today's papers needs to come back, Slatest is a waste of time, and boring.

Just useless, and I refuse create a new password -- or to give them access to an e-mail address, just to comment on Slatest. Not happening.

I agree, although it does appear there's a way to get all the articles on one page. In the area under the Slate Dozen maroon banner, click one of the headlines, and you'll see all 12 articles. Strangely enough, clicking the headline for the main story above that banner only reveals one blurb. Also, clicking any of the "Read More" links only reveals one blurb. Very inconsistent, but at least I can read all the blurbs on one page.

The other frustrating part is that the page has no print button. You can use your browser's print function, but the left advertisement takes up half the width of the printed page. Slate, please add a print button, or fix that stylesheet to print the ads above or below the content.

Seeing all 12 blurbs is nice, but we're still missing the narrative flow. And without the narrative format, the writer can't make funny tie-ins between the stories. I miss it.
