Faux News: Could YouTube Sink These Court Hopefuls?
by annaswims

The supreme court nominee video made me truly disappointed in slate. Many of the nominees said something along the lines of "If you agree with this premise, then you can draw this conclusion," which is far different that stating support for any given idea.

Statements like "If we really want to stay true to federalism, we ought to be allowing medical marijuana in California in defiance of federal law..." don't actually endorse any given action/law, it only attempts to explore different legal perspectives.

The way Dahlia Lithwick edited and voiced over this video made it seem like the exploration of differing perspectives is a shameful thing for a judge to do.

Shame on slate for coming so close to being FOX news.
