But it's because of that that the BOTF doesn't get outside traffic. It's one of 2-3 boards where I've been and newer people who said anything were trampled on by numerous posts telling them "you don't know anything and don't belong here." Who wants to stick around after that? I'm not talking about an out-of-the-blue comment or question, but about relevant responses to the actual article from which the board sprang.

Neato, I can not deny that an unhealthy dynamic has existed there for quite some time.

I haven't abandoned this project. I'm hoping some of the questions still hanging can get answers. The current problem keeping a lot of good writers away from DP Fray is clearly too little communication and understanding, not too much.

I also hold out some slim hope that some Slate/Fray staffer will bring this thread to Prudie's attention.
