YEP - I think you are right about da Vinci being an INTP. Not certain about the P, but most likely.

From everything I have read, the Mona Lisa is the only significant painting that he kept for himself. But he also kept a large number of sketches and voluminous note books that he constantly worked on.

As an ENTP (tending toward INFP as I get older) I constantly find that I have a need to revise and change things that i have created in the past. I am always returning to many of the same themes in what i write - never completely satisfied with what I have done before.
