John McCain's position on Iraq.

1. Iraq is cenral to the "war on terror" (Never mind that the people who attacked us on 9/11 had nothiing to do with Iraq. Never mind that ,y command of georgraphy is so bad that I think Iraq and Pakistan share a border. and never mind that I can't tel the difference between Sunni and a Shia.)

2.The "surge" I called for all along worked. Look at the success of the Sunni Awakening! See what we did.

Never mind that the Sunni Awakening started eight months before the surge did.

3. Setting a timetable for withdrawal is dangerous. But my timetable is to have most of the troops out by the end of my first term.

3a. I support a permenant military occupation of Iraq, along the lines of South Korea.

3b. I claim that noone supports a permanent military occupation of Iraq.

4.I'm for starting another war in Iran ("bomb, bomb, bomb.....bomb,bomb Iran")

5. I agree with Sen. Obama the the real danger is in Afghanistan.

6. I'm for more troops in Afghanistan.

6a. Because I want a permanent occupation of Iraq (or maye not), I think someone else should supply thost troops.

You said something about winning a war. How does that work? When do we know when we have won in Iraq? Who would we have defeated?
