{Let the countdown begin on the inevitable lashing against him wearing it, now. This is what I'm talking about}

Why not just wear the star?

It's just meaningless. It just lets us know where you stand. Bah. Reducing patriotism to jingoism is the worst form of politics. Much better they kiss babies with MRSA infections.

Lapel pin schlapel pin!

What I want to know is this: Do the Obamas have a ribbon on the back of their car that says they support the troops?

Do they?

I have spoken with many people about the Iraq War in the last 5 years, and one thing I've noticed.

The people who understand that we have to fight them over there so we don't have to fight them here have a "We support the Troops" ribbon on their car.

The people who wanted Hussein's head on a plate because of what he did to us on 9/11 have a "We Support the Troops" ribbon on the car.

Practically everyone who supported the invasion of Iraq because of the "slam dunk" on WsMD had a "We Support the Troops" ribbon on their car

That's the true test of patriotism, and support of our troops. The "We Support the Troops" ribbon that you put on the back of the car. Without that, there's no way a candidate can honor everything this country stands for.

Lapel pins are too small to make a real statement.

Nothing really says God Bless America like a big "We Support the Troops" magnetic ribbon.
