Okay. More on this. I did some experimenting.
(12 hours until I leave for London... ;-) )
I checked CD's post numbers on the 'view posts' under his name.
THEN I logged out. went into each of his threads that way.. and guess what?? His count went up one, each and every time.
So... I was correct in my speculation earlier. The view count on the individual view threads' page takes into account logged in posters (though it won't go up more than 1 view per logged in poster) but will count each and every view of a non-logged in-to-the-fray person/just browsing by, as a new separate person viewing it.
SO... CD is wrong, again. it isn't 220+ views from people on Faith-Based. which makes not a fecking bit of sense anways, there aren't that many of us, it takes into account us looking at it as 1 count (and a number of us admit to looking at it to see what others have posted, not what he has) AND it takes into account 'drive-bys' as separate view, no matter if the same person drives-by it more than once.
Still. It's idiotic. So what if anonymous people look at what you post, they don't respond, and the number of people who respond just derail the thread and ignore what you post, and do what they like. It's a very low self esteem that takes that as any kind of positive affirmation of, well, anything. Sad. Goes into the 'doesn't have a life' bin.
