Re: To: Benhon3

No. I will not enter your fantasy world. Either justify your own thoughts or don't. To use a made up document to try and make a point is intellectually dishonest and lazy.

Again, we have laws that address groups that advocate the violent overthrow of the US government.

Silly made up articles like the one you posted are inflammatory and usually sent by those too cowardly to put their own name on their thoughts.

I see no Muslims parading around America shouting death to (anyone). You have more to fear from home grown terrorists than the bogeyman people like you love to create.

Re: A good example of leadership America should follow
by Adrasteia

Even the Hitler family changed their names. But they do exist, no one killed them. They live in the US.

I'm not sure what you mean by massive clandestine ops. I don't advocate anything that is illegal or immoral.

The entire bin Ladin family is not financing terrorism and most likely should not be be targeted. And they won't be because many of them are very close to the Bush family. However, I do think international cooperation in capturing and trying those who fund terrorism or sponsor it is appropriate. Going after the bin Ladin money is appropriate. More defense is appropriate.

I'm with you on that one. Here's another rah rah "common sense" nonsense email that's been circulating. My comments are injected and finalize the story:

GOD is Busy [ the Bullshit Marine Story with rebuttal]

If you don't know GOD, don't make stupid remarks!!!!!!!

(Which one? Vishnu? Jesus? Yaweh? Allah? Isis? It’s a long list and what makes one truer than the other?)

Okay, Here’s the Bullshit Story:

A United States Marine was attending some college courses between assignments. He had completed missions in Iraq and Afghanistan. One of the courses had a professor who was an avowed atheist and a member of the ACLU.

One day the professor shocked the class when he came in. He looked to the ceiling and flatly stated, "God, if you are real, then I want you to knock me off this platform. I'll give you exactly 15 minutes." The lecture room fell silent. You could hear a pin drop. Ten minutes went by and the professor proclaimed, "Here I am God. I'm still waiting." It got down to the last couple of minutes when the Marine got out of his chair, went up to the professor, and cold-cocked him; knocking him off the platform.

The professor was out cold. The Marine went back to his seat and sat there, silently. The other students were shocked and stunned and sat here looking on in silence. The professor eventually came to, noticeably shaken, looked at the Marine and asked, "What the heck is the matter with you? Why did you do that?" The Marine calmly replied, "God was too busy today protecting America's soldiers who are protecting your right to say stupid stuff and act like an idiot. So, He sent me."

THIS IS GOOD, KEEP IT GOING!!!! Really? I’ll keep it going all right.

What course was the “avowed atheist and member of the ACLU” teaching? Was his oratory a dramatization that was introductory to a further point of his curriculum? And what exactly does “ACLU” stand for? “American Civil Liberties Union” is what it stands for and do you know what their mission statement is? Here it is:

“The mission of the ACLU is to preserve all of these protections and guarantees:

Your First Amendment rights - freedom of speech, association and assembly; freedom of the press, and freedom of religion.

Your right to equal protection under the law - equal treatment regardless of race, sex, religion or national origin.

Your right to due process - fair treatment by the government whenever the loss of your liberty or property is at stake.

Your right to privacy - freedom from unwarranted government intrusion into your personal and private affairs.”

Now guess what? If this bullshit story was true then that Marine would have taken an oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States of America from enemies foreign and domestic at his induction. In essence, he had taken an oath to protect everything that the ACLU stands for. But according to the bullshit story above, the Marine violated the professor’s rights and broke his oath.

Now what else does this Anti American Bullshit Story imply? That Atheists have no rights? That it is okay to batter a fellow citizen because he is an atheist and a member of an organization that some people do not like? That he may have offended or disagreed with someone’s beliefs? That our Constitution only protects the rights of those who believe in a god? How many of those freedoms did the treasonous marine violate?

This is how the story really ends:

One of the traitorous marine’s Constitutional Law classmates dialed 911 immediately after watching their professor be assaulted for no good reason, summoning the police and medical personnel to treat the battered professor. Soon the police arrived and the professor gladly pressed charges against the recalcitrant marine. The last thing the class heard of this deranged individual was the police reciting “You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say may be held against you in a court of law….” Yes, his Miranda Rights also guaranteed by the very same Constitution he broke his oath to defend. A true Traitor.

I love making the knuckle dragging right crazy.

Re: To: Benhon3

I have received too many of these fairy tales from "patriots". When I point out they are false the answer I always get is, yeah but it's a good story.

Well, then, Hillary Clinton's story about dodging fire while landing is Bosnia is a good story too.

The knuckle dragging right is scraping the bottom of the barrel with those knuckles when they have to make up stories to support their views.

Re: To: Benhon3

Tell me about it. I am a veteran of the US Armed Forces and all the career people I served with hate war. I don't know one seasoned US Marine, Sailor, Army or Air Force member who would even consider pulling a stunt like the bullshit story. We all took that oath.

You can always tell a softie who never served by the depth of his bullshit war stories or how verbally gung ho they are to race to war. You usually find them in bars shooting their mouthes off. And they always claim to have served in the Special Forces. I met more alleged Special Forces veterans in one shit hole bar in Florida than in my entire service enlistement!!

Re: To: Benhon3
by Adrasteia

I'm a veteran too. Thanks for your service. I wish I could agree that all I served with hate war, but they don't. Then again, I was in the AF so most of us have no real experience of war.

I do find, though, that those who have deployed, do not brag about where they've been. We wouldn't need recruiters if all those phony Special Forces jerks would sign up.

The Quran specifically states, in so many words, death to non-believers. In Bristol, England, groups of Muslims carried signs stating as such along with other slogans pertaining to an upcoming Holocaust and God Bless Hitler.

Intellectually lazy? You are being plain ignorant by glossing over that fanatical groups are not a problem. In Toledo, OH three middle east immigrants have been charged with plans to formulate a terrorist cell. Thankfully they have been arrested.

So why don't you tell me why anyone who has intentions of coming over to this country to cause chaos has any right to be here in the first place? You tell me why it is 'unintellectual' or 'cowardly' or whatever stamp you choose to place on it for someone who is willing to show some fortitude to get up on a podium and say that such people with such intents need to go elsewhere?

I've more than justified my thoughts, and am not in a fantasy world. I would be more than happy to get in front of a TV camera and read the original post verbatim and inject my own thoughts into it. And I would be all the more gratified with myself for doing so.

Re: To: Adrasteia
by Adrasteia

And I can pull similarly violent words out of the Bible. Christianity hasn't had such a peaceful past either.

I have not glossed over any fanatical groups. They exist and I don't need made up articles to tell me that. You are just as fanatical, evidenced by your need to beat the drums of hatred by making up stuff.

No one who advocates the violent overthrow of the US government has a right to be here. We already have laws addressing that. It has nothing to do with them being Muslim or Chinese or Lithuanian. You're phony article specifically targets Muslims and as I said before, our home grown terrorists like McVeigh and Kaczinski were not Muslim. Just good ole American boys.

Your thoughts may be justified but your methods are reprehensible. If your stance is true you don't need to make up inflammatory stories. Do your wonder if John Howard appreciates you putting words in his mouth?

Praise God you aren't in front of a camera because you would make yourself look foolish. More so than you do now.

Re: To: Adrasteia
by benhon3

And 95% of the article mirrors my beliefs, so again, I would be more than willing to go public with it, as I am now. Basically I would say,

"To all those fanatical groups that are intent of coming here, or who are already here and plan to cause destructive acts because of your religous intolerance, you are not welcome here, and no one will stop you from leaving...."

Etc. Yes, I can just imagine a million Adrasteias lining up and saying, "How very very foolish of you for saying such a thing as that." But then again, not really.

Re: To: Adrasteia
by Adrasteia

If 95% mirrors your belief then why do you have to lie to state your belief? The lie is that Howard said this stuff.

The ends do not justify the means. You have every right to your beliefs and the right to state them, particularly here. Just have the balls to say them in your own words. Whoever drafted this up is a coward and those who circulate it are lazy and inflammatory.

I hope to God a million Adrasteias will note how foolish, and cowardly, you sound spouting falsehoods. I know I will be speaking out whenever I hear falsehoods like this.

Re: To: Adrasteia
by benhon3

In your first response to my original post, you stated that said post was fabricated. I don't disagree with that. What you just can't seem to understand is that I agree with the context of the fabricated message.

As far as having fortitude, I have said it in my own words, in case you haven't read my previous response to you. Those are my own words, and since you pointed that the original post was a fabrication I have not once argued that it is a truth, but that I agree with the context. I agree to the extent that I would craft a speech based upon the context---there's that buzzword again--context of the original post.

I hope I have spelled it out clearly enough for you. Do you now understand?

Re: To: Adrasteia
by Liberal Patriot
You sound like a Republican't that has been backed into a corner by his own B.S.; attempting backtrack and rationalize your position.
To: Liberal Patriot
by benhon3

And YOU sound like someone who cannot follow a thread. I have to back up my position because its posters like you who can't comprehend a position I have taken on an issue. I want you to read this complete thread. I have NOT ONCE argued that the original post was a fabrication. I have NOT ONCE argued against the poster who told me that this was not an original speech.

I have taken the position on the context and content of the message. It is you who has backed himself in a corner after this blatantly plain explanation that I have given. And still, you don't get it. Why don't you go and have a doughnut. Maybe you can understand that.

Re: To: Adrasteia
by Adrasteia

What you just can't seem to understand is that I agree with the context of the fabricated message.

And what you can't seem to understand is that by passing this fabricated message around without disclaimer you are telling more gullible people it's true. That is a lie and a lie does not justify the ends.

Why not just write in your own very important words what you believe? Because you know no one would care. Therefore, people like you make up words to put in other's mouths who people do care about.

You stated your ideas in your own words only after being called on a lie. Go back to your first post. You never stated that the article was false. That's dishonest and lazy. You are dishonest and lazy.

Re: To: Liberal Patriot
by Adrasteia
You cannot justify your position by citing a false statement. I have not taken exception to your position, simply your dishonesty and laziness in attempting to justify it with a falsehood stated as fact.
