Finally!
by thelyamhound

I've been waiting for this little piece of the Tati canon to show up on DVD; I just ran to Netflix and put it to the top of my queue.

Jacques Tati is my favorite cinematic comedian and one of my favorite directors. His style and composition are highly influential--see any of the films of Jeunet and Caro (Delicatessen, City of Lost Children), Jeunet's Amelie, or Sylvain Chomet's Triplets of Belleville to see loving tributes to his brushstrokes.

Any opportunity for the uninitiated to discover Tati's quaint, inspired films should be celebrated.
