Loving plants in flim

I would also like to add Silent Running to the list of films that treat plants as items to be worshiped.

Absolutely, one of my old favorite films, Silent Running!!

We live close to Athengs, GA. 12 miles from the State Botanical Gardens, what a beautiful place!

Add Waterworld to that list, too.

In fact, the absence of tobacco plants is a key element in that plot. Or so I've heard. I probably should not admit to having watched any Kevin Costner post-apocalyptic epic.

Silent Running is a great movie and its points havent changed-we need the plants. I dont know about the word "worship" considering we need them to survive really-survival should be considered the strongest of our drives.

Of course a classic moment in Silent Running is when the company orders the destruction of the botanical Noahs ark project to save money-who but a CEO could order the destruction of the race to make a profit?
