Reuters finally posted a report on the event although they downplayed the scene:

Obama, wearing a Jewish skullcap, placed a prayer he had written in the wall and bowed his head while a rabbi read a psalm calling for peace in the holy city.

One worshipper chanted "Obama, Jerusalem is not for sale" and "Jerusalem is our land" as the Illinois senator stood at the wall, a relic of the ancient Jewish temple destroyed during Roman rule nearly 2,000 years ago.

THIS IS DEVASTATING FOR OBAMA!!

It's probably a good thing he went to the Wailing Wall so early in the morning.

I guess Obama's lucky that they don't vote here in the US. On that note, Obama leads in Jewish support over McCain by about 2-1. That would be here in the US where people actually vote for a president.
