Soy or Dairy
by RS708

Soy milk, (soy products in general) is highly processed as pointed out previously. Dairy isn't all that great for humans (although I do take half & half in my coffee).

A good alternative is almond milk which is sold in original, vanilla, and chocolate flavors. My daughter has asthma and in looking for alternatives to milk, I discovered almond milk. We are vegetarian, but most of the meat substitute products available are not really very healthy choices.

I don't know how great any of it is for the environment, I make choices based first on health concerns.

I was curious if anyone would point out that cows milk isn't really a good source of nutrition and that it can be bad for you.

I don't drink either, but I am somewhat of a purist,I like black unsweetend coffee (even expresso) and ice tea with lemon only.

yeah, i'm not a fan of either. Milk and other with-fat dairy products make my throat phlegmy and I hate the taste and aftertaste of soy "milk," but fat free milk doesn't bother me as much so I use that in my cereal and anything I'm cooking.

But I do love soy beans. Cook some up, add a little salt, and boom- awesome snack time.

Smelly,

I pointed it out in my second sentence.
