Will he call someone "A big fat idiot" on the Senate floor?

If I were in 5th grade and had to write a speech for student council president and called it "Cindy Anderson is a big, fat idiot" my teacher would have made me re-write it and apologise to Cindy Anderson.

Why?

Because not only is it rude and obnoxious, the assignment was to debate issues, not just make nasty comments about my opponent.

So it's hard for me to take Al "Rush Limbaugh is a big, fat idiot" Franken seriously as a politician when much of his "humor" revolves around just making ad hominem attacks against people he disagrees with.

(which, ironically, is the reason Limbaugh and O'Reilly would make bad politicians as well)

That book, and much of the content of his failed radio show, is mostly just one, long, obnoxious rant not serious debate of ideas.

The current, childish "You're stupid! No, you're stupid!" level of debate in Washington is bad enough as-is.

For instance, "freedom fries"?

I tired of the old French presidents duplicity as well, but that's the sort of thing that, if a student council body tried in 5th grade, would be vetoed by the teacher because "It's mean and rude to french people...as well as immature. How do you think the foreign exhance student feels?"

We really don't need more of that crap on the Senate floor.

It would still be far more polite than when Cheney told another duly elected Senator to "Go fuck yourself" right on the Senate floor. And then the VP even said later he was proud of his actions and they made him feel better.

That's really setting an example, yessiree boy oh, a real fine example of an adult politician ole' Cheney turned out to be. Yep right there on national TV he said he was proud of those words and said he would do it again.

Book title

You have obviously never read the book and base your entire summary on the book title.

If you were in the fifth grade and submitted this as a book report, your teacher would make you actually go back and read the book.

The title was, how do I put this lightly, a joke. The entire book, including the title, was a parody of the modus operandi of Rush Limbaugh et al. In fact, Franken, himself, stated that the book title was ironic.

No, what he will call them is "...my distinguished colleague the honorable big fat idiot from the state of..."

You obviously never read the book. It's actually a very well research, line-by-line refutation of essentially everything that gasbag has ever said.

what do you hate most about el rushbo?

A) the fact that he has the silly liberals number?

B) the fact that he goes and tells everyone about it?

C) the fact he makes millions doing it?

or

D) all of the above?

Re: FAIL

(E) None of the above.

Its hypocrisy, innuendo, strawmen and outright lies.

Its arrogance, treachery, and deciet.

You call it brain food. because you need three hours a day of the stuff to form a thought. America needs Limbaugh to stay healthy as there are millions of people who would fall over comatose from brain atrophy if Rush were to go off the air for an extended period. An original thought would send all of you into shock.
