After listening to this week's Gabfest I was surprised there was no mention of Phil Gram's comments about American's mental recession. While I don't think a surrogate's comments are as important as candidate's remarks, Phil Gram is one of McCain's primary economic advisors. I think Gram's influence on McCain's policies are an important issue to discuss. If the economy is not the #1 topic on the minds of voters, then it's a close second. I disagree with the editorial judgment shown here. P.S. I will admit I did think the Obama girls were adorable and reinforced my positive impression of the Obama's as individuals.

Is there any doubt at all that if an Obama campaign adviser who had called Americans advisers, it would have been the lead story in every news show and the slant would have been what an "elitist" he and his supporters are?
