women are "supposed" to eat yogurt?

I can't eat yogurt- I'm actually REPULSED and gag by even just the smell of it. It's had this effect on me my entire life. I forced myself to eat it once in college, and I had horrible stomach craps all night. But I forced myself to eat it that time because I grew up with this idea that girls are supposed to eat yogurt. I guess my mom and my grandmother always talked about how yogurt was "diet food" and the ultimate "light" lunch or breakfast. My mom used to point out thin women eating yogurt. I actually still feel
guilty
about my inability to eat yogurt. I found this article so interesting about how yogurt is marketed to women. It's always seemed to have that righteous feel to it for me- if you are a good, thin person, you eat yogurt. And I don't know any men who eat yogurt...has anyone else ever felt this way, that women are "supposed" to eat yogurt? Maybe it's just because I can't eat it that has made me notice it more...
