They don't make witnesses like they used to

I miss Oliver North and Fawn Hall.

Don't get me wrong. Addington with his burning glares from his thick manly glasses and his sensible Men's Warehouse suit screamed authority while John Yoo portrayed the very essense of bad boy intellectualism (I bet he used to eat in Law Review Offices just because he wasn't suppose to).

But alas, the dynamic duo of Mad Addington and John YOOHOO just don't have the same glamor as those two gogo heroes of the 80s.

Oh, how I miss the crispness of North's uniform as he ran circles around investigators (by speaking only under immunity) and Fawn Hall with her windproof hair laquered to bring the mind the exact opposite. They were conumdrums, enigmas, whose love for America could never be broken or weakened.

But I guess we go to Congress with the heroes we have, not the heroes we want. And I am still holding out on Rove and Cheney. Now that is a power couple.

Addington used his best Nuremberg "Nunc Dimittis" to obfuscate and confuse his inquisitors. He won every point including the "water boarding" demo. Score: Addington 1...Congress 0 as for YooHoo what did you expect from a GS-12/13???
