I think Addington and Woo better check their history books. The horror of an attack doesnt change the values of the victim.

But 9/11 was so...different!

9/11 was different? It was a sneak attack and more importantly it wasnt done by any country-it was done by a small group of extreme nutties-a criminal act really. In truth the response should never have been military-certainly shouldnt have resulted in the Iraq war.

But again, Pear Harbor was worse than 9/11 in the sense that we had a clear enemy with the same kind of war making technology-torture would have seemed even more important and the danger much more real. But we didnt do it.
