Rumors-Dogma-Facts
by redleopard

The topic of the obama rumors and his/follower's attempts to "correct" them have created a dilemma inwhich they have created their own monsters in the process.

I shall explain. For starters, many of the rumors are true and hard to explain off. Those who point these truths out are instantly labelled as racists by many in the obama camp. Now granted; there are those which are racists and detest obama for the fact that he is black. But thats not everybody. I have observed in the various forms of media that obama supporters have a hard time debating issues with non-obama suppoters because they think it all revolves around race. Even blacks who are not obama supporters are viciously attacked because of their different opinions and views.

So what it boils down to is that the obama camp has in many ways created it's own monsters to be afraid of. I go after & challenge such types like many of the obama supporters because I'm tired of seeing/hearing whites and others getting labelled as racists because they don't subscribe to the "hip-hop culture and mindset" in America which think obama is an untouchable. I don't believe in being "politically correct" because its just another form of patronizing and covering up what is reality. I especially don't like being "politically correct" when it means that I must degrade myself / race in the process.

The obama rumors be they true or false, need to be honestly addressed either way. And if some of those rumors are ugly truths then so be it. People more respect a person who is up front and honest with them instead of a person who smiles, sings & dances to win your approval while secretly planning your demise. This is something which applies to both political camps. Something to consider when it comes time to vote.

Prototypical Straw Man Argument
by Trebuchet

I shall explain.

The entire argument proposed in this post revolves around the premise that there are some people out there that are doing somethings that can then be construed as a general rule of those that the argument wishes to smear.

This is a very common argument coming from little george.

"Some people would say that we can fight terrorism by appeasing the terrorists." Those some people? Well they don't have names. I am sure that with an American population of 300 million there are Some People that might feel that way, but little george smears anyone who opposes him with the false accusation that they must be those Some People.

It appears that you have fallen for that same fallacy. Hope you consider that before you vote.

As usual; another obama supporter (thats what you are isn't it?) "assumes" that I'm a repub or bush / mc cain supporter. Well in your "attempt" to interpret my post you got it ALL WRONG. Sorry to burst your bubble there.
I voted for Hillary in the Primary
by Trebuchet

and why would I assume anyone is a McCain supporter? I have yet to meet anyone on the fray or the real world that is a McCain supporter.

Sorry, but there was no bubble there to burst.

Now back to the subject at hand. You are trying to draw logic out of a straw man argument when there is no logic there. You say Some Rumors are true. Which rumors are those? How do they compare to the other rumors that are not true?

By bunching up everything in a Some statement, you are able to qualify the veracity of your statements. You didn't make any false statements since somewhere in your obfusication is some small insignificant glimmer of truth so you can say some of your statements are true without qualify which are and which are not.

Bad Logic, Spanky.
