I had exactly the same reaction when I read the article in the Atlantic, except that the "scientists" reminded me of astrologers rather than tarot card readers. And I agree that Goldberg's attempt at a light touch isn't sufficient to conceal that fact that he clearly thinks they know what they're talking about.

Now if only somebody would expose these phony "gay brain" studies that show up intermittently in the press, mostly on slow news days...
