I like this ad. It always makes me happy when it comes on. I like Amsterdam, I like Amstel, and I think liking one is a good enough reason to favor the other, all things being equal. I like the HPL ad alright, too, though like the beer itself I only slightly prefer it to the (I think) equally bland domestic lagers. This ad won't make me drink Amstel. Amstel will make me drink Amstel. But this ad might remind me about how I like Amstel, in the process of reminding me how much I like Amsterdam.
Seth Stevenson, you really need to either redefine your grading criteria, or start picking a more diverse range of ads to grade. The last four reviews you've done have resulted in two "B-," a "B," and a "B+." Isn't there anything worth reviewing that's not above-average-but-still-mediocre?
