You are correct a beer isn't necessarilly better just because it is from Amsterdam or Mexico. To me the only substantive information any beer ad might promote would be taste tests and longevity of the brand or age of the brewer. However this is America. The land of the individual. We all strive to fashion identities for ourselves. Albeit false identities. My Air Jordan's do not make me Michael Jordan. We want to believe and have others believe we are what we have/buy. So what you are dissecting is whether you prefer the fake identity Amstel is selling versus the fake identity that Miller is selling.

No offense but your article (or is it "Ad Report Card" a series?) is a waste of time in all regards except for the fun we all have in debating a more subtle version of the debate of "Ford vs Chevy"

Don't get me wrong I love spending time wasting my employers hours thinking about such insigificant things just like the next guy. Keep it coming.
