You're not even going to mention McCain?
by slobone

Surely McCain's biggest selling point is that he reminds a lot of people of Reagan -- old, patriotic, reassuring. Since he's almost certainly going to win in November, won't that extend the Reagan era another four years at least?

"McCainism" will probably be a lot more like Reaganism than Dubya's sour brand of Oedipal defiance has been. And the McCain Court will fulfill the Reaganite dream of scuttling Roe v. Wade and gay marriage once and for all.

Scary, isn't it?

McCain hasn't got a prayer.

If McCain wins it might be time to emigrate. The future under the GOP will be bleak.

Hey, I'm a lifelong Democrat. But it's a little bit like being a Cubs fan. Have you noticed that this country hasn't elected a Democratic president who didn't speak with a Southern accent since 1960?

This year, it was starting to look like there was no way they could lose. Then they got together and said, "Hey, I know! Let's nominate a guy whose middle name is Hussein!".

Bingo -- President McCain...
