My last great memory of Pollack was his appearance on "The Sopranos." As the wife-murdering oncologist who gives a ray of hope to Johnny Sack, Pollack was devastatingly funny. In a movie I loathe - "Eyes Wide Shut" - Pollack was the most human presence.
