On April 15 The CSSC destroyed the sacrament of marriage by a vote of 4-3. There I was, sitting in my family room, sucking on a budweiser in front of the TV, watching a ball game, when these 9 people dressed in black robes burst into my house and informed my wife and I that straight, heterosexual marriage was a thing of the past.
Well, needless to say, we were both shocked. I mean, did that make our kids illegitimate? Would we lose all of our tax exemptions ? Did this mean I could stop paying alimony to my first and second wives ? So many questions, my mind could note seem to cope with the consequences. Perhaps we could just pack up our things and move to Arizona or Nevada.
It's been severals days now since our marriage was destroyed, and I am finding that things are not really so bad afterall. My neighbor Bruce and I have been spending a lot of quality time together. And I find that I have this compelling urge to change the color of the drapes and redecorate the living room.
