George Bush vs. Bill Clinton
by Jason M. Bryant

A couple days ago Bill Clinton made a speech in support of his wife from the back of a pickup truck. Bush just made a speech in Israel. What do these speeches have in common? Surrogate cheap shots.

While Hillary Clinton's speeches have gotten massively less confrontational, Bill is continuing to be an attack dog. His recent speech listed off all the reasons why Michigan and Florida aren't being counted and why it's a conspiracy against his wife. He said that if things were the other way around, the votes would have been counted. He said that it was Obama who kept a revote from happening. So while Hillary is calming down her rhetoric, Bill is still stirring things up.

In Bush's speech he sideways attacked Obama's position on Iran. He even invoked Godwin's Law by bringing Hitler into the conversation. McCain was left with the task of trying to offer a more reasonable, legitimately debatable version of Bush's position.

With Bill Clinton and George Bush making such asses of themselves on behalf of their candidates, perhaps we should cut out the middle men. Maybe the election would be better off if these two were locked in a room to fight while the real candidates sort everything out.

Clinton is right, GW is a well known liar for 8 years now. I do not think he was personally insulting Obama. He was going after Democrats. That is all he has left. Bush certainly cannot brag about handling the Country or war.

maxpractical, if you have no advice for George, may I?

George, don't make me get down on my knees and beg! I implore you, I plead with you, I most humbly beseech you, please put your heart and soul into campaigning for John McCain.

George, you have given up golf. Your lame duck administration is on autopilot. Laura needs a break from you. So get out there and stump for your friend and ours, John McCain.

Here is a touching story about two Buddhist monks who have vowed to stay within fifteen feet of each other for life. <link>

Take that as your example. Do these monks one better. Take a rope and tie yourself to John McCain. Not for life, of course. Just till, oh..., how about November 4? Does that work for you?

I'll get in touch with John and set things up with him. Oh, I just know he'll be so excited about this! I can't wait to see the expression on his face. Oh, joy! Oh, happy day!
