Clinton Team Acknowledges $20 Million Debt

CLARKSBURG, W.Va., May 11 -- With her campaign falling ever deeper into debt, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton spent a rainy Mother's Day seeking votes ahead of Tuesday's primary here, turning a deaf ear to calls for her to leave a Democratic presidential contest she has little hope of winning.

Clinton aides continued to insist that she will remain in the race even while confirming that she is $20 million in debt. "The voters are going to decide this," senior adviser Howard Wolfson said on "Fox News Sunday," acknowledging the $20 million figure. "There is no reason for her not to continue this process." Wolfson said he has seen "no evidence of her interest" in pursuing the second-place spot on the Democratic ticket, contrary to rumors that she is staying in the race to leverage a bid for the vice presidential nomination.

My oh my.

How hard the mighty have fallen, eh? Here’s a candidate who claims now to be the great White Savior, the clearly chosen of the White Voter, and the asshole can’t even manage to keep enough money coming in to run the campaign. $20 million in debt? Seriously—this is the person white people want running the gov’t? Someone who can’t even raise enough money to keep her campaign going when her final thread of hope is some sort of electoral miracle in the last six primaries?

Come on, you lazy ass white bastards. What’s wrong with you? You can moan and bitch about Obama people and their cult, but in the end, you let your own candidate down. I don’t know what’s more pathetic—Clinton’s claim to the nomination based on what she says white folks want, or the fact that you all won’t even give up a pork chop a week in order to support her candidacy.

Now let's talk Barak and Hillary. I'm a registered Independant so I could care less which one of the two win the candidacy. Whoever it is gets my vote because the stinking Republicans will simply continue to ruin this country. I've spoken with Mr. Obama at a rally and find him to be quite astute and very dynamic. Sometimes charisma is more valuable than experience if he or she has the gift as it can mean the difference between war and peace. I think either one will make a great president.

Personally, I think one of the things that the next president can do to heal this country and repair it would be to reinstate the draft. Give all the illegal aliens the chance to earn part of their residency, not citizenship, by serving for three years in the Armed Forces. There would be many who take it up and I bet there would be more who would stampede south of the Rio Grande, never to return. So we solved the "Immigration Problem" there. Also, all of your fat, greasy, slippery-shit-mouthed "Gangsta" wannabe's will find themselves at attention, eye-to-eye with Sargent No-Neck instead of hanging around street corners selling illegal drugs, and shooting off their mouthes showing the world just how stupid some of y'all can be. No better than the KKK.

On the day after the Indiana/North Carolina primaries I remember reading some bullshit about how Hillary had pulled in her largest EVER online donations etc --- and I've been so interested to see the figures. Today, a $20M debt is the first figure I've seen -- so where is all that grass-roots, hard-working support?

Obama has shown that it doesn't take thousands of dollars, just small donations from lots of people. So where are all those folks who are making her so electable? Where are their $100 contributions? And all those volunteers to campaign for her? Where are they?

I think its pitiful that sh'es still allowed to run with such a deficit and such poor chances. It's freaking over. The voters HAVE spoken!

Well then, if you can support the big O, we really have no quarrel. I fully agree that there is but one race, human. That's the reason I attack "whitey." Try and get your brain around it. It's called taking your opponent's paradigm and turning it around on him. I can do it, being nominally "white", you see. It doesn't quite work when it's a white person dissing blacks, though (or an African American dissing whites, for that matter). Hence, our conflict.

Although, I have some historical qualms. The Celts never sacked Rome. The Gauls did (which, since I'm half northern Italian and half southern, the Cis Alpine Gauls who sacked Rome were my ancestors as well). My understanding is that the Celtic variety of Gaul was never conquered per se-- we never got past Hadrian's wall. Also, If by Celt you mean "Irish" that is. But then, the Irish never struck me as being part of "whitey" anyway.

As for Alexandria, Caesar did order the torching of the docks, which spread to the library, but at the time, the Alexandria Libary was just one of hundreds of major document depositories. A tragedy, but not a seminal one.

Yes, that's the way of Western civ-- the Greeks started it, and the Romans polished it up and made it practical.

For instance, as the old story goes, the Greeks invented eros-- erotic sexual love; however, it was the Romans who adapted it to sex with women.

Generally, though, I never think of myself as "white." It just doesn't seem to be a meaningful category or aspect of identity. I prefer to think of myself as Mediterranean-- sharing a common culture with the Greeks, Syrians, Turks, Jews, North Africans, and southern French/Spanish as opposed to Northern Europeans.
