Top 20 Reasons West Virginians Like Hillary.
by john adkisson

West Virginia is not like the rest of the country. Thank God. Anyway, here are the 20 most common reasons cited by West Viginians for voting for Hillary:

1. I heard he was Muslim.

2. His wife's an atheist.

3. He's a terrorist.

4. He snorts coke.

5. The Constitution gives a right to cling to guns and God. Elect Obama--poof it's gone.

6. He and his church plan to take over the country with "the blacks."

7. Al Qaeda has endorsed him.

8. How did Obama get into Harvard?

9. How does anyone get out of high school?

10. Hillary is a coal miner's daughter. My aunt told me so.

11. Obama isn't "one of us."

12. Obama thinks he's a "higher-type people." The nerve.

13. Obama is not "electable" cause other folks (not me) won't vote for an African guy. Personally, I like Tiger Woods a lot.

14. Bill Clinton came by and said he never slept with that woman, and that's good enough for me.

15. Obama will confiscate our flag pins. Never mind we don't have any.

16. Obama gives the one finger salute to our flag and has pledged alliegance to Kenya.

17. His wife hates America.

18. His preacher hates America.

19. His mother married a black guy.

20. He's not a white-blooded, I mean full-blooded American hero like McCain...oh we're talking about Hillary. Her too. She served in Vietnam didn't she?

And messages like this are why Senator Obama may lose in the fall.

It appears that devoted and uncritical Obama supporters are just as horrifying as the radical right was for Bush for the last 8 years.

To Obama's credit, though, he seems to hold as much distain for this type of fanaticism as I do.

Leftist Ted Rall's rant when Bush won re-election in 2004 was always very telling to me. Speaking to "the other side," he wrote:

"We make more money than you do."

That hardly sounded like the clarion call of somebody "for the people."

West Virginia is very poor.

The parties have devolved to a point where a pox is well-put on both houses (like Chris Rock says, "Its the Crips vs the Bloods"), but aren't the statistics showing that Blue staters are pretty well-off and Red staters aren't?

Both sides hate the poor. Just in different ways.
