Time to kill the deathwatch?
by Rustbucket
Is there anyone other than HRC who thinks she has a chance of winning the nomination? Aren't we catering to her delusions by pretending that the odds are nonzero?

I'm beginning to suspect and fear that Hillary Clinton knows something that the rest of us don't. Something like how many of the superdelegates she has bought off.

Why is Clinton so desperate for a good showing in the last few primaries? She knows that she can't catch up to Barack Obama in pledged delegates. But if Clinton does well in the last few primaries it provides cover for superdelegates that have been bought to openly declare for her.

Is this sheer paranoia? Maybe. But Clinton is trying to bite, scratch, and claw her way to the convention while keeping Obama below the 2025 delegate threshold. And she is trashing her own reputation to do it. No, Clinton is up to serious plotting and machinations here. Wait and see.

Obama 08!

Politics is "The Godfather." Not "Its A Wonderful Life."

Hey, Lucabrasi. Yeah, I'm talkin' to you. How 'bout shutting up and eating a cannole. What are you trying to do, play right into the hands of Gatewood? According to Jimmy Two Times, Hillary (a.k.a. Ms. Pantsuit) won't sing yet, won't sing yet.

Am I the only one who objects to the term "deathwatch"? It's morbid in the extreme. What about "concedewatch" or "quitwatch"?

"If it bleeds, it leads."

I'm reminded that we are at the 40-year anniversary of 1968, in which the Martin Luther King and Robert Kennedy deathwatchs were quite real.

It took Bobby a whole day. All the girls at school were crying....
