he shouldn't have. No honorable man would support someone that viciously and racistly attacked his family. I wouldn't no matter how badly I wanted to be president. Even if I knew that I was so old that I would never have another shot.

If McCain has stayed true to his principles, and repudiated Bush throughout his Presidency for what happened in 2000.. I'd have some measure of respect for him.

As it is, McCain is no different than Hillary.. do anything, say anything, suck up to anyone in order to win.

For the record, I've often defended Hillary (I support Obama) that she isn't more calculating than most politicians, she's just really bad at hiding the calculations. In a way, that's almost a virtue...

However, McCain's reputation for straight talk is truly baffling... as someone with more wit than I has said "he has a reputation for being authentic, which is like being honest except you don't have to tell the truth"...
