What's up with the Obama supporters?
by SouthernGal

If your guy as the nomination all sewn up why are you continuing to attack Senator Clinton?

Sniff sniff is that desperation I smell? It ain't confidence in your candidate that's for sure.

It has to be. I just heard a Republican advisor on MSNBC,(Shock, shock) say, "You should never count Hillary Clinton out, she has the staying power."

Something is wrong that the Obama followers want her out so bad they resort to every Republican talking point they can find.I smell fear, folks!

Re: What's up with the Obama supporters?

She also have every right to stay in it as long as she wants. The BO supporters want her to just hand it to BO. Well, I don't think that is going to happen.

I guess I just answered my own question.

And I think the post above explains a lot. Finally, a group of decent Investigative Reporters.

Wonder why the others did not check this out? It is common knowledge. Now we know what the Republicans were waiting on.

But wait - MaryAnne . . .

Haven't I been reading over these many months from the Liberals that the Republicans are working hard to get Hillary selected as the nominee? Didn't I just read a post about Republicans being told to vote in the primaries FOR Hillary ? Now you are saying that the Republicans want OBAMA to be the nomination because they believe that they can beat him in November ???

Which way IS it ????

You did not hear that from me, Denny! I said from the beginning they want Obama!

I know there is something in his quick rise to fame. Now,a group of Investigative Reporters are exposing just what I thought. You do not come out of the slime of the Chicago machine clean,no way!

Denny, it's like I told Loree...
by SouthernGal

the neocons are using reverse psychology with Liberals to try and get us all to vote for Obama. They think if they say they think Hillary is the better candidate to run for President we'll do just the opposite and vote for Obama.

See how it works?

Limbaugh has been saying for 2 days now that he really wants Obama to run because he is the weaker candidate.

Funny how each side sees what they want to see . . .

Referring to those who favor Barack or Hillary, of course. I think that they are all becoming paranoid. They have managed so often to shoot themselves in the foot and clutch defeat from the jaws of victory - each time blaming it on some kind of "Republican conspiracy" - I am beginning to think that they actually believe it.

And now, with two candidates that actually have the Democratic voters enthused and voting in historically high numbers, once again they have again begun to blame everyone else and whine about how "unfair" the Republicans are.

That's how they work.

They did it against Bush, they do it against McCain, doing it against Obama simply shows that they are consistant.

What's the matter, don't like it when your gal is the target?

Re: The slime of the Democratic Chicago machine

you mean...

Let's be precise here.

Re: Bingo... Democrats are the problem..
by MWG

the democratic faithful can't admit the truth.

No surprise to those of us who watch how the Democrats here twist and spin the truth to back their candidate du jour no matter how dishonest/unqualified he or she is.

I thought in the beginning . .

That Hillary had the inside track to become the nominee. But Barack played "rope-a-dope" as the stealth candidate - using Hillary's "negatives" in his favor while spinning a campaign of smoke and mirrors and trying to avoid saying anything to which he might be held accountable - and it worked.

Now that the veil of secrecy has parted on Barack's background, Democrats are all of a sudden getting worried - afraid that once again they have been played like fools by a candidate who simply made them "feel good" while offering nothing but empty promises - much as happened in the 2006 Congressional election.

That's easy: they're extremists.
by Arkady

When people have a cult-like devotion to a dear leader, mere victory is not enough. Do you think when Stalin triumphed over his rival Trotsky the Stalinists were magnanimous in their victory? Of course not. I suppose we should feel lucky if Hillary Clinton doesn't turn up with an ice pick in her head.

I honestly believe that if the shoe were on the other foot, things would be different. Clinton supporters are pretty pragmatic. If she were pushing 90% probability of nomination right now, we'd be bending over backwards to patch up the rivalries, with the assumption that we'd win and that having Obama as VP option or at least an enthusiastic endorser and campaigner would be invaluable. I just can't see us turning viciously personal against Obama with that shoe on the other foot. Can you?

That is exactly what I mean <Midwest, and have been saying it from the beginning.

i do not blame the Republicans for this mess. I blame Howard Dean,Donna Brazile and the DNC.

If you remember we did not like the DNC last election. It is worse now with Dean in charge.

Denny is quite right and so are you,Arkady.
