umm because if a human breaks their legs than they don't die. For broken bones in humans at worst you become a paraplegic.

- people with fatal diseases

- old people without much to live for

- retarded children

- homeless people

- the underclass

- other people whom society deem as unproductive drains?

Kill them all with kindness!

If we treated suffering horses like we treat suffering human beings, we'd just let them thrash and bleed on the dirt track for a few days and remind the horse-doctor that euthanasia is a crime.

Hey soldier, if you want to turn human life into a commodity which allows others to snuff out once they determine a particular human life is useless, make the case!
