There is only one effective way to fix what Bush and Cheney have done, put them in jail. This problem of Presidents breaking the law and getting away with it is getting way out of hand. Nixon was bad enough, running a criminal gang from the Oval Office, perpetuating a phony war and murdering protesters for exercising their rights. Reagan actually acted as a foreign agent for Japan, sold weapons to Iran after having selling weapons to Iran outlawed internationally, and used the money to fund his own version of Al Queda to murder nuns and teachers in Central America. Clinton used a young, impressionable White House intern for a humidor. And now we have Bush and his crazy uncle who use the Constitution for toilet paper, have made torture U.S. policy, turned most of the Executive branch into incompetent party hacks, perpetuated another phony war begun on a thousand lies, helped create mercenary armies that obey no laws, and reduced the "hyper" power America to a second tier banana republic. If they are not brought to justice, the next assholes are going to push the infernal envelope to the brink of Armageddon, and maybe beyond. They must be made examples of. They must be tried, convicted and punished. If not, we might as well paint great big targets on ourselves and hope the end is quick. All the rest of it is band aids and chewing gum.
