Wonder who created the tags at the bottom of the board?

Shameful conduct.

yeah, it's one of her tricks to stay 'topical'
by MichaelRyerson
she's got a couple of em, like playing the thumbs game, multiplying her replies count by ...wait for it...replying to her OWN posts, hahaha, and stalking me and then accusing ME of being the stalker. she's a hoot.
Hm. What do you suppose the odds are that

creation of that tag cloud was a, if not in fact THE major goal of the "contributions" of certain posters here (one of whom's ironically infamous for false accusations of "orchestrated downrates")? Further, what would you estimate the probability that there was some, er, prior "off-fray" planning communication reflected in those posts, hence that cloud?

Oh, gosh, willya lookit me and my cynicism? Gotta get over that. Of course it was all completely spontaneous and independent! Sorry I brought it up.

she's a bully plain and simple. and like most bullies
by MichaelRyerson
she's stupid. your cynicism is well placed. she posts a cut&paste of one of my top posts here over on botf. it is really just my post, that's all and it, of course, attracts a certain level of outrage and amusement and she thinks she has somehow added to the botf discussion. lol. she steals a post from this board, posts it on botf and proposes I'm the stalker. holy shit she's nuts.

Yup to all that. (I presume you "got" that my expression of remorse/regret over my cynicism was tongue-in-cheek. In fact, I completely agree it's well placed in this instance.) And the utter lack of self-awareness evident in the transparent, screaming hypocrisy and irony of virtually its every word and deed is indeed hard to explain as anything but profound stupidity (unless it's profound dishonesty, including with self; most likely a toxic combination of both).

Assume you already know how to find out who submitted which tags, but on the outside chance you've never taken the time.....just click on the tag.
Nope. Didn't know how. Thx.
by BFD
Don't usually pay attention to the tags.
Well, whuddaya know? I was wrong!
by tartuffe

I didn't know about that either, so was guessing Ellen's presence signaled planned cooperation in creating that tag cloud. Nope. All Toad, all the time.

it's a funny thing, the juxtaposition of her apparent

dishonesty and her persistence. most dishonesty is couched in 'honesty', that is, surrounded by factual stylings so as to give the lie some cover. but she persists in stating and restating what are easily defeated fictions and throws a tantrum when she's called on it and then follows up with another lie. it goes beyond simply wanting to be the center of attention (which she is certainly and always guilty of) and approaches an area of literal clinical psychosis. and of course, I saw your tongue jutting from behind your cheek. ya can't get much past me, boy.
There must be method to that tag-madness, BFD.

I mean, at first blush whom of ordinary self-awareness and common sense would have a clue how to address such scholastical and byzantine requirements, wherein certain posts must be collated and properly tagged by a sober-minded, mentally-balanced adult between categories named "Ryerson The Dishonest" versus "Ryerson The Liar" versus "Ryerson The Liar-Stalker". Me, I had real trouble with Kant's concepts in the Critique Of Pure Reason.

I'm visualizing a reptilian Unaposter shambling along, emitting periodic, unintelligible shrieks of anguish and rage, clutching at a stack of spiral notebooks, one for each Tag, here and on Geezers/Procrastination and on BOTF, each filled to bursting with bullet-point scrawls in ballpoint pen, every single bit of blank paper used up, including directions as to the appropriate fonts and underlines and acronyms and nicknames and quotations marks to be employed, so as to squeeze out every last drop of meaning and meta-significance from the Fraycentric obsessions arrayed within.

Dontcha think it probably just attaches all those tags to

every post here, shotgun-style? (Or is that possible? Admitting I'm a tag naif.) Don't the relative size of Toad's tags suggest it must have done something pretty close to that?

I've never made a Tag, myself, so we two tag naifs may well
by Inkberrow

be talking out of school. A primer from the Toad would be useful. I thought different posts were assigned to different Tags, which was amusing to me given the (ahem) redundant and repetitive nature of her Tags, here and elsewhere. She'll clean 'em up soon enough now, I'll warrant.

Bottom line, the "tagged for X" is one of the Toad's perennial gimmicks to give punch to the punchless, as in "Locked, and Reported", or "Back to the Block with you", etc.

Well, let's just see.
by tartuffe

Tagged for "tag check", "check tags", and "multiple tag test".

Heh. Yup, Toad methodology revealed:
by tartuffe

you can put in all the tags you want (well, at least up to 3), separated by commas, on a single post. What an empowering Toad discovery that must have been, eh?

principles being contingent on egotistic self-promotion, the ICPers have always reified and concretized far more than any other type of poster, the signs and devices and "objective" feedback tools of the Fray. View counts, reply counts, uprates/downrates, tags, checkmarks, etc.---even as they strive to manipulate them best they can, or with telling overcompensation deny their "crucial" significance, this for ICPers is what passes for an objective metric of their quality and significance (the respect and praise of smart, honest posters obviously not being available since their initial exposures as lying weasels). It's how ICPers can get validation or revenge (same thing, for them) for the absence of that good reputation, by saying "See? Look how important I actually am. Look at my View Count. Look how many Uprates I have [even if from LAM sockpuppets created exclusively for the occasion]! Look how how correct my assessment of something is---why, there's an Official Fray Tag which reflects it!!".

Speaking of concrete reflections, but sad but crucial bottom line is that the Toad, more than any other single poster ever, even the Oaf and Gatewood, valued her Star to the nth degree, and suffered grievously from its removal. Crucial for her, because it retroactively freed her from content, from having to produce any substantive posts whatsoever. It was sufficient to hint at her prowess---the Star proved the prowess was there, even if no one ever saw it, or remembered ever having seen it. The Toad's been living out the pathetic denouement to "The Star Poster's New Clothes" ever since. Everything else springs from this: remember how for years, until very recently indeed, it was always, "Ah, look how BOTF has declined....what dregs here now, it's a wonder I ever deign to post here"----because BOTF did not Value Her, as in her Starred Days? Hmmmm, looks like BOTF just became the Beloved, Quality "Home Board" of the Toad once again, all of a sudden, always has been, bleeech.....
