Reconnoiter is an interesting word.
by MichaelRyerson
-1 Reply
couple of interesting and profoundly amusing things turn up on a recent (last ten minutes) reconnoiter...first off, botf is dying. No, really. Relative to Procrastination botf is dying. How's that for irony? A cursory glance at the main page of botf finds precious few replies (124 excluding gatewood's brain fart) and thumbs activity directly traceable to basically three posters (hahaha). While a similar cursory perusal of the Procrastination main page finds a vibrant collection of top posts and reply activity and thumbs activity across a wide range of posters. Doubt it? Total up the number of replies currently showing on botf for a total of 124 replies, the same exercise on Procrastination yields a total of 377. Now to be fair, and aren't I always(?), there is one other clutch of replies (68) on botf wherein gatewood threatens to do to Procrastination what he's already done to botf, that is destroy it!! His words. hahaha. Yeah, he's threatening to go over to Procrastination and DESTROY it!! hahaha. This guy cracks me up, what a show. In fact, when you consider the wonderful entertainment being meted out weekly by such shows as The Office and 30 Rock and Curb Your Enthusiasm and then look at the main players on botf(!) god what a competent scriptwriter could do with that clutch of goofballs, I mean...really!

BotF is dead. The Experiment killed it. Gatewood is just now figuring out that we left him with the crumbs for an audience.

And diane is Geezer obsessed, plain and simple. We're all she thinks about, and all she "posts" about, if you can call that 4th grade level shit posting. The Experiment has caused her tiny little brain to overheat. Running around like a headless fucking chicken. Actually quite humorous to watch, mainly because of her utter lack of self-awareness.

She does realize that by stalking Geezers around like this she's proving the Geezer Hypothesis right?

yeah, botf the sound of one hand clapping.
by MichaelRyerson
and diane, lol, cat shows up yesterday and tries to point out to her that the very obsessiveness that she (diane) is always acusing everybody else of is evidenced in her very behavior of showing up on an obscure board to rant about elitism to which diane answers with some five year old shit kevinfuckingarno posted about cat which the non-obsessive diane just happened to have copies of. you couldn't make this shit up if you tried. how's that old milwaukee working out for you? ready for another? don't bogart that joint, my friend, pass it over to me.

Diane is absolutely pathetic. Anyone who'd allow an internet message board to become the center of their social life, like she has, must be pretty fucking real-life lonely. And stalking someone like she does you, ...well that's just plain weird.

I could use a fresh one, now that you ask. Thanks.

how do you like the way I made that table
by MichaelRyerson

out of that big ole cablespool? pretty fucking creative, huh? speaking of diane reminds me Play Misty for Me is on tonight. gonna DVR it, play it tomorrow night. great halloween flick.

The hole in the middle of the spool has always been a problem for me. I always lose my keys down there.

Yes indeed, diane in the Jessica Walters role, ...only much older and far less attractive.

Had Roberta Flack in the limo one day. Oprah guest. It was all I could do to not start singing....The first tiiiiiimmmmmeeee....ever I saw your face. Yeeek. What a creepy fucking movie.

speaking of the hole in the middle of the spool do you
by MichaelRyerson
realise diane now has more posts (main page replies) on the procrastination main page than anyone, including the freeking founders of geezernation! lol! inconsolable.

Now that you mention it, yeah for sure she had more Geezer posts yesterday than any of the original Geezers. I remember back at the old, old, board, there were days when the entire front page had the Squeaker as the last reply. Similar to Gatewood in the sense that she makes up for having nothing to say by saying a lot of nothing.
when is the last time she made a good faith top post?
by MichaelRyerson
you know, something she put some effort into that did not in some way turn back on another poster. any recollection? this is my last dianecentric post of the day (week) she's starting to creep me out.
The great thing is that she gets boring really fast
by biteoftheweek

even when she talking again and again, in dozens of posts about my favorite subject (me)

Generally, I would be more interested in the publicity, but it just got so repetitive.

it's a kind of self-flattery, trying desperately to be
by MichaelRyerson
associated in some small way with you. it is the wide dark maw that is her life.
Just today, actually, Mike ...

I made a great one, lots of views (282 a few hours ago), lots of replies, lots of upratings. Quite well-written and with a very clever theme, too. Why don't you try it some time? As for your own personal selective definition of good faith, now there's a damn fine laugh. You wouldn't know 'good faith' if it slapped you in your proverbial face. Which I wish it would.

What's with your obsession with me, Mikey-boy? Talk about "starting to creep me out."

You're been stalking me for YEARS, Michael -- currently as "yellowpolicetape," before that as "katydont," before THAT as "littleme" and perhaps currently as 'eom,' although I think that one is Catnapping. And please, don't waste your Fray-breath trying to deny those posters are/were you.

Btw, you've used my first name AGAIN, I see. Time to talk to JTM, I guess.

Talk about self-delusion, Mikey-boy ...

BOTF is hardly dying. Of course, wearing only your selective-filter sunglasses, you probably actually believe it. But you might want to take a look at my Top Post this morning. You wish you could write that well. Baltimore Aureole contributes excellent posts, almost daily, as does Urquhart and many others. Your "own" NickD posts over there regularly as does "tartuffe," or as "Inky" calls him, "tarty."

Oh yeah, I forgot -- you used to -- but you haven't written a worthwhile Top Post in years. Years, Mikey -- you've lost your touch. What's worse, one suspects that you know it. Let's face it, your most active Top Post recently (for which you got, rightly & fairly, creamed) was the lying, snotty phony accusation that I had emailed you. Whattajoke.

On what do you base your phony sense of superiority, Ryerson? On your ability to make phony nicknames and stalk female posters, disguising yourself as "yellowpolicetape." You fool no one, Mikey. You're dried up as a writer -- Jack Dallas and Gatewood can write yellowpolicetaperibbons around you on their worst days -- and no one replies to you except these same few whining exiles. Oh and Catnapping.

"nuff said" there.

Stop using my first name, Michael...
by SpeakerNancy
It's in direct violation of the principles of EVERY Editor/Moderator we've had so far. I'm sure Jeremy will feel the same. Shall I write him, or should you? Or why don't you just ... stop doing it. Thanks ever so.
Still the stalking
by biteoftheweek

to yet another board.

It reminds me of that old mediation book title, Wherever You Go, There You Are.

Except it is, Wherever you go, there she is.

Very sad
